I have always maintained a keen interest in art. Even in the times of sheer unrest, holding a paintbrush in my hand gives me peace like nothing else does. Sitting in front of canvas, is like meditation for me. I zone out. I enjoy bold and quick charcoal sketching and oil painting. Absolutely adore impressionism and expressionism. I am an ardent admirer of Van Gogh- needless to say when I was visiting Amsterdam, I had actually spent the entire day in the Van Gogh museum, dumbfounded by the works of the maestro himself. I enjoy many different forms of music both classical and modern forms. I have taken vocal training for several months in Indian Classical music. When I was around 15 years old, i first learned to play the harmonica and then realized that the Guitar would sound great along with it. So I picked up some gutar skills to play along! Favorite artists/bands include Bob Dylan, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Norah Jones, Ravi Shankar, Rodriguez and many others.
